17 Sep Calling All Christians – Praise Reports
Thank you for filling out a Prayer Request
at the battlecryprayerboard.org website. It is a wonderful thing to be part of a community that cares about what is going on with our lives and others. Sometimes we are so frantic in our busy day, that we need to get on a prayer list and this is certainly an important part of our life. Prayers, for us and for others. Let us never forget the power of prayer!
Be careful for nothing;but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
There is another step that is equally as important and that is Praise Reports. What an encouragement to know that you were part of a prayer request that had a successful answer. We then have something to share with others. For example, “Hey, do know what happened? My friend was in the hospital with an emergency surgery and we prayed and he is now alright and back home doing well.” We can give God the glory for that and others can rejoice in this answered prayer too! This is called a Praise Report or a testimony. There is power in the praise report!
5 Great Reasons to give a Praise Report:
- Encourages others to see that God is working. Sometimes it is just the thing that a person needs to hear to pull them out of their problem and look to someone else. Let them see that if God can do it for them, He can do it for me. We can always hear of someone who is in a worse state then us. There may be life threatening situations out there and we hate to see people suffer. We want the best for people so let’s lift them up today. Inspiration is what we need.
- Lets other people know that prayer requests are very important. If we don’t know what or who to pray for, how can we help each other. We are not meant to be island people and never talk to friends and loved ones, even strangers, about our prayer needs. Of course, we can always go to the Father anytime about anything, but some times it gets urgent. We need another shoulder to help us through, so let the prayer request out. Indeed, who doesn’t need prayer??
- To comfort and strengthen the recipient. There is a great joy and humbleness when we realize that people are praying for us. People really care. We are not doing this walk on our own, but we are getting strength and victory from others. Their prayers are holding us up, and we feel stronger, more capable to get through life. It’s pretty awesome how that all works.
- Learn to communicate with others through sharing. What better way to feel close to someone than through sharing your prayer requests. Although some people may find it hard to express their feelings, that should not prevent us from doing so. Have you ever been speaking with someone and then you feel so comfortable that you just start sharing some specific things with them and they know exactly what you are talking about? We are all pretty much the same. We all need a Savior and His name is Jesus. Sometimes we can preach the salvation message to them. What a joy to lead someone to the Lord, just because you were open to share. So then we have another testimony that can be shared.
Speak the scriptures out to others to give even more power such as:
Luke 18:27 (KJV)
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Matthew 18:19 (KJV)Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Psalm 55:17 (KJV) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Psalm 34:7 (KJV)
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
So, my friend,
if you have read this article and have a praise report from one of the many prayer requests that we have, please use the contact form at http://www.battlecryprayerboard.org/more/contact/ to let us know.
I would like to write an article on some of them so we can continue to be encouraged to keep on praying. What is life without prayer? What is life without Jesus? Let’s follow this journey together.
