DAY 5

“Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do.”  – Andrew Murray

Today, lets discuss:

  • Get God To Answer Your Prayers
  • Have To Get Your Heart Right
  • Power Of Believing

When we think about God answering prayers we usually want it right away.

Sometimes, God does come through unexplainable and we get that miracle. However, most of the time we have to wait because everything is in His timing and under His control. If you want to get results you should pray specifically and with scripture. God’s Word is His will.

Jesus said, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

5 parts to Get God to answer your prayers

  • Find scriptures that promise you the specific thing you are praying for.
  • You must ask God for what you want and then believe that you receive it.
  • Thank God continuously for the answer, before you can even see it.
  • Let every thought affirm that you have the answer to your specific prayer.
  • Make sure there is no unforgiveness to others in your heart, your heart has to be pure.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. James 1:6-8

Use scripture in your prayers. Its a great way to a better understanding of God’s Word and His Will.  Memorize scripture as you come across it in this boot camp or in your personal studies.

Memorizing scripture is really important to the Christian Life.

Having the right heart

Do you really know God? Do you have a relationship with God that gives Him sufficient reason to answer your prayer? Maybe God is pretty distant to you, maybe God is just a concept or idea. Make sure you have a good understanding of who you are In Christ! A great list to continue with in your walk in your spiritual life can be found at FIC Ministries.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1,2

Power of believing

Is God your source of power? Well then, ask! Ask God for the wisdom and discernment to teach you how and what He wants you to pray, then believe. There is lots of power behind that decision. Give everything to Him; that’s all He really wants you to do anyway. Then, smile in peace and love, because you are on the right track, my friend! Blessings are with you always!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

*A Glance Ahead:
Tomorrow we’ll talk about hearing God, what to do with unanswered prayers, and why praise reports are just as important.
