DAY 6

“God will either give you what you ask, or something far better.”  –  Robert Murray McCheyne

Today, lets discuss:

  • Hearing from God
  • Dealing With Unanswered Prayers
  • Importance Of Praise Reports

Everyone wants to hear God and we want that right away, which usually does not happen. Just remember, we are always learning something from God in our everyday circumstances. Sometimes we won’t even realize that till later on. It can get frustrating, but don’t lose heart, keep that relationship open with God.. He loves you!

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable
things you do not even know.
Jeremiah 33:3

Hearing God

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (II Timothy 3:16-17). We can hear God through many of the following:

  • Scripture – inspiration of God, so you do have to read the Word of God.
  • Holy Spirit – He speaks to our heart, so you have to listen.
  • Prophetic – word of knowledge, word of wisdom, personal prophecy, so examine everything.
  • Godly counsel – where there is no counsel one will fall, so be safe and ask for advice.
  • Confirmation – two or three people will confirm the facts, so keep listening.
  • Peace of God – let peace rule your heart and be thankful.
  • Timing – Everything working together at the right time, right place, strategically.

What are we sensing from our prayers: Is it of God, our flesh, or the Devil? He has given us these principles in the Bible to guide us, because our merciful, loving God wants us to relate to Him.

If you remain in me and my words (Bible scriptures) remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7

Unanswered Prayer

Well, there is much to be said on unanswered prayer. We really have to examine what we are going through, if we want to learn more about our prayer life and in order to be successful at it. Reading the Word of God and Praying go hand in hand together, for the results you want or even for the answers you don’t get. Everything is for our good; sounds unbelievable at times, but it is true.

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Here are some reasons to consider why you may have unanswered prayers:

  • Lack of fellowship
  • Not seeking to please God
  • Unconfessed sin
  • Wrong motives
  • Is it in God’s will
  • Do not pray right
  • No faith
  • Do not understand faith
  • Wavering faith
  • No spiritual authority
  • Do not persevere

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. James 1:6,7

Praise Reports

This is one the most important parts and we would do well to remember these praise reports when we are going through hard times. Some people like to keep a prayer journal with the answers recorded by date and testimonies, which is a great idea since we tend to forget things.

Just start to think right now all the prayers you have had answered from God just because He loves you so much.

Did you know He knows the desires of our heart already? Remember, God likes to fellowship with us and hear us ask and never give up. Be thankful in all things. God is so awesome, I pray you are enjoying your prayer journey.
