We discussed about the hindrances of prayer, how to deal with trouble and distractions. Here’s the link to take another look at Prayer Bootcamp – Day 4.
“The fruit of silence is prayer. The fruit of prayer is faith. The fruit of faith is love.” – Mother Teresa
Prayer revolves around one key aspect and that is trust. We need to trust in God, our Creator, that He has everything under control even when it may not seem so.
He made us and only has the best in mind for us, though sometimes it may seem chaotic. God sees the whole and complete picture and according to His Scripture it is a beautiful and wonderful place. Heaven will be the reward for all those that follow Christ.
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:20
Never forget, there is power in numbers; people agreeing together and praying together. The devil will try to separate us, but it won’t work, because we will always ask people to pray for us and let others know what is going on.
Don’t fall for the lie that you have to do everything yourself. Jesus is your best friend first. Plus, you have a big, Christian family, with this site and all over the world, that really cares!
It all deals with Love!
Regardless of how great or successful we are, if we don’t have love it is all pointless. As believers and followers of Christ we are to show love to everyone. Many people think Christianity has too many rules but if we look to the scripture there really is only 1 rule.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40
If the world could just do that one thing, love, and put selfish things behind them think of a world that would be. Think of all the joy that would be all around us. If you want joy in your life follow the simple J-O-Y breakdown. All your thoughts and actions should follow this order:
J – JESUS then O – OTHERS then Y – YOU
Time For Battle
Prayer is a direct line communication to God and a warrior is someone who is experienced in battle. Although the term “prayer warrior” is not found in Scripture, it is a person who is committed to praying for others.
Commit to praying for others and your problems and situations will seem to disappear because you are keeping your mind on other things and other people. God needs us to work through every situation, and if we are not available, He will just use someone else.
It is certainly more uplifting to be used by God and be a part of this wonderful world He put us in. We are here for a reason, to serve God in whatever way we can.
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
It is not “our will be done,” but His. People don’t pray to us, they pray for God to Help. It is not our job to answer prayers, but it is our job to pray and allow God to use us when necessary. As Prayer Warriors, we are to pray fervently. Pray expecting God will come through in our desired way but accepting and understanding the outcome is within His Will regardless of the results.
Being a Prayer Warrior relates directly back to Trust.
Keep trusting in God thru Jesus Christ, our Risen Savior. There is no other successful path; all others lead to a dead end. Let God direct you. Yes, it can be a challenge, but oh, the rewards are phenomenal.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6
Prayer Warriors develop a heart of God, the heart for prayer, the heart for people, and the heart for Christ’s Church. Continually praying and trusting God to answer each prayer according to His perfect will and His perfect timing. Prayer is not passive.
It is on the front lines of a real spiritual battle and is one of the most exciting, interactive thing you can do as a believer. To engage with the forces of heaven, against the forces of this world, and waving a flag of victory for the battle belongs to the Lord who conquers ALL.
Prayer Warriors intercede daily, but just like with anything it takes practice. To get better, a Prayer Warrior must simply pray. All believers are to pray in the Name of Jesus. He is The Christ and we trust in Him for all.
