11 May Prayer Changes Everything
I know there is a use for prayer even if you are not asking for something, prayer is talking to God. The “funny” thing about the disciples is Jesus didn’t heal any of them, yet they still followed him.
Because just being near God changes you! This really is apparent when Peter steps out of the boat. How did he get to that point in his life? Peter had a million other choices, yet he chose to walk on water. Something absolutely defying human nature and laws of physics.
I wanted this one event to happen at a certain time in my life. I prayed all the right ways. Then it didn’t happen and I was devastated. It meant I would have to humble myself and ask for money from people that didn’t want to give.
I kept praying for assistance, that never came, but through my desperate prayers, He changed me! I saw things in lights that I never thought of before. I saw why He didn’t come to save me. I love that we have a God that doesn’t want to hurt us, even when we unknowingly pray for it.
As you pray, it will start sounding more like a conversation! He will throw Bible verses at you. He will toss the words of wise counsel from out of no where. And you have no choice but to hear Him, if your heart is soft, you will see how right He is.
Lastly, Ill leave you with this, I love Isaiah 1:18:
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.”
